What certificate would I receive and of what value would it be?

The value of any qualification is inextricable from the name of the institution that offers the qualification. In this regard we are proud of the good reputation, both nationally and internationally, of the University of Pretoria.

The University has been offering high-quality education in project management for 30 years or more.

A number of different lecturers with extensive industrial experience teach on the PPM.

The PPM benefits from the Masters Programme in Project Management (MPM) that is offered largely by the same lecturers. The MPM is the only program of its kind on the African Continent that is accredited by the Project Management Institute, USA.

We also collaborate with certain universities with good reputation in Europe and the USA. The department responsible for the PPM is a Registered Education Provider of the Project Management Institute (PMI), USA.

We have a prestigious graduation event (or events) each year. At this ceremony, candidates who completed the PPM successfully, receive the Certificate for project management course (example of certificate) (PPM) from the University. The certificate is accompanied by a letter stating that the department responsible for the PPM is a Registered Education Provider of the PMI, USA.

The PPM is a well-established programme: Since 1997, the programme has been offered 113 times (several times in-house to large companies, e.g. ones listed on the JSE). In total more than 6000 people have already benefited from this programme. The PPM is therefore well known in the South African industry
