Since 1975, Herman has been involved in various industry projects. In 1996, he joined the University of Pretoria as a full professor specializing in project management.
Giel has more than 25 years of experience in project management, including project development and implementation, facilitation, auditing, mentoring, lecturing, research, and consulting.
He is currently self-employed as freelance Project manager, Higher Education consultant, and facilitator. His last full-time position was that of Managing Director for Pearson Institute of Higher Education.
Dr Greyling Viljoen is a registered Clinical Psychologist with the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa). He has postgraduate degrees in Psychology and Theology and a PhD in Psychotherapy.
Adriette is an admitted attorney, conveyancer, and notary of the High Court of South Africa, and she obtained her doctorate in labour law in 2005. She joined UNISA in 2003 after five years of full-time practice.
Lecturing this module since 1997. She specialises in insurance law; engineering and construction law; general law of contract; law of delict; and legal and commercial aspects relating to project management.
Since May 1994, Krige has been a professor at the University of Pretoria's Graduate School of Technology Management, teaching master's level courses in maintenance management and project risk management.
Corro van Waveren is a Senior Lecturer in the Graduate School of Technology Management at the University of Pretoria. Since 2004, he has been involved in project management training, including short courses and certificate courses.
Since 2007, Reniel has been a frequent guest lecturer for Enterprises at the University of Pretoria. He has lectured on project management in Africa and Asia to companies such as MTN, Glencore, Xstrata, Eskom and local government.
Schalk is a Senior Lecturer specializing in Technology and Innovation Management and Risk Management at the University of Pretoria. He perform research in these fields and also data science.
Taryn joined the University of Pretoria as senior lecturer, in June 2015. She is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2® Practitioner and is registered as a professional engineer with ECSA.

One of the latest recognitions of the PPM skills training course of the University of Pretoria is its validation by the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professionals (SACPCMP).
Twenty Years of Developing Practical Project Managers – and ‘Business as Usual’ not an Option

On Friday 31 August, a function was held to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Programme in Project Management (PPM) – a continuing education course to develop practical project managers. The course is a joint venture between the Graduate School of Technology Management (GSTM), University of Pretoria and Enterprises University of Pretoria. These two organizational units also celebrated the two decades of successfully collaborating on the course.
